Dave Schutter

Senior Pastor

Dave has served as Senior Pastor of NPC since 2007. Whether through preaching, leading a group or a personal conversation, Dave's ministry passion is to explore God's word and seek to understand how to follow Jesus in every area of life. Dave grew up in Cleveland, attended Wheaton College and graduated from Miami University in 1993. At Miami Dave met Kim. They have three children: Jonathan, Luke and Anika. In his free time Dave enjoys cycling and barbecuing. Dave has served as a church planter, staff pastor, and in Afghanistan as a US Army Chaplain. Dave graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in 1997 and earned a Master of Theology degree from Westminster Seminary in 2017. Dave is a contributor to the Jonathan Edwards Encyclopedia (Eerdmans, Fall 2017) and the Jonathan Edwards Global Sermon Editing Project.

Chris Mabee

Associate Pastor

Chris has served as a Ruling Elder in the PCA since 2014. Chris grew up in a large family in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Miami University in 1988. He then attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating in 1992, and worked as a Gastroenterologist in Columbus for 20 years following his training. Chris is married to Kim and has two adult daughters: Lauren and Kendall. He felt a definitive call to pastoral ministry in 2013, eventually graduating from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2019, after also taking classes at Covenant Theological Seminary. He is passionate about congregational care, evangelical mission and discipleship ministries, and is the director of Stephen Ministries at NPC. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, reading and talking Bible and life with any and all takers.

Patrick Tebbano

Associate Pastor

Patrick was called to serve as associate pastor of NPC in 2024. Prior to this, he served for 17 years at University Presbyterian Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico (11 as lead pastor). He and his wife, Nicole, grew up in Northeastern Ohio and met at Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania. They are the proud parents of 3 children, Jonah, Hannah, and Zachariah. They have served for many years as licensed foster parents and share a passion for the ministries of foster care and adoption. Patrick holds a B.A. from Grove City College and an M. Div from Covenant Theological Seminary. He is committed to shepherding and discipleship ministries, and desires to see every member of the church equipped to use their gifts for the glory of Christ and deployed to serve our city.

Paul Vertucci

Paul Vertucci

Director of Worship and Communication

Paul was born and raised in New York City and studied music from an early age. He graduated from Binghamton (NY) University and worked in corporate marketing and communications. Paul has directed worship at NPC since 2003, leading worship bands, choir, technical support teams and other arts ministries, and began supporting communications and social media in 2011. Paul and his wife Megan have two children: Nicholas and Samantha.

Elizabeth Deakin

Director of Children’s Ministries

Elizabeth graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and spent one year at the London School of Economics. She has been the Children’s Ministry Director at NPC since 2007. Elizabeth loves a great story, and she's always in pursuit of the best way to tell the most amazing, important story ever to children of all ages in every venue of children's ministry, from Sunday morning to VBS to family events. Elizabeth has three grown children: Christopher, Harrison and Eleanor. 

Seth Baysinger

Student Ministry Director

Seth is a native Hoosier, graduating from the prestigious IUPUI with a degree in Secondary Education Social Studies. He is also pursuing an Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary. Seth was a part of the Campus Outreach planting team at Ohio State University until he and his wife Kelie were married in 2015. Seth was a high school and middle school social studies teacher for 8 years and a ruling elder at a church in Bloomington, Indiana. During that time, he sensed God’s call to ministry, specifically for youth as they navigate their faith through middle school and high school. He and his family moved to Columbus in the summer of 2023 to lead the Stillwater Student Ministry at NPC. Seth and Kelie have three young children: Eloise, Gracie, and Ari. Seth loves being outdoors, camping, hiking, and spending time on walks with his family. He is also an avid football fan and loves coaching and being around sports.

Lisa Stark

Administrative Coordinator

Lisa calls southwest Oklahoma home and graduated with a history degree from Oklahoma Baptist University before relocating to Columbus to attend law school at The Ohio State University (where she met her husband, John). Lisa and her family began attending NPC in 2010. After many years in a large firm, Lisa stepped away from the practice of law to stay at home with their two children: Addy and Ryan. When Lisa decided it was time to return to work part-time, she felt God's direction to serve here at NPC. When not in the office handling all things administrative, Lisa can be seen onstage as a vocalist with NPC's Worship Team and choir.

Communication Coordinator

Laura, originally from Indiana, graduated with a degree in Computer Graphics Technology and a minor in Spanish from IUPUI. She initially moved to Ohio to help with the Campus Outreach Columbus expansion, then began working at NPC in 2013. As Communication Coordinator for NPC, Laura works with staff, leaders and members to promote the ministry and work of our church, and designs and manages our website, printed and social media and other church-wide communication, as well as designing graphics and content for worship. Laura and her husband Caleb have three children: Milo, Mercy, and Reed.

Sharon Wilson

Accounting Administrator

Sharon graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with an accounting degree and has been working in accounting for the past thirty years. As our Accounting Administrator, Sharon manages the accounting functions here at NPC which includes accounts payable, financial reporting, donor management and budgeting. Sharon and her husband, Matt, have been attending NPC since the days NPC met in an elementary school building. They have two children: Bailey and Ethan. Sharon enjoys playing golf whenever she has a chance and you will probably see her walking her dog Blue around Dublin. 

Kim Burris

Director of Northwest Presbyterian Christian Academy

As the director of NPCA, Kim’s desire is to live out the gospel so that children and their families would see and feel the love of Jesus. Kim's passion is to have a relationship with the NPCA families as she loves and ministers to them. Kim and her husband Terry are empty nesters and have lived in the Dublin area for many years. They enjoy being grandparents and living on a farm with horses and dogs, which keeps them busy.

Patrick Lewis

Campus Outreach Columbus Regional Director

Patrick is the Regional Director of Campus Outreach Columbus. Patrick and his wife Tara moved to Ohio in 2012 as NPC began its partnership with Campus Outreach. They have three boys: Lincoln, Isaiah and Chase. Learn more about CO at the Campus Outreach Columbus website.

Nell Foulke

Hospitality Coordinator

Nell graduated from the College of William and Mary in her home state of Virginia. Nell and her husband Greg have called Ohio home since 2016. As Hospitality Coordinator, she supports the growth of NPC by managing the engagement of a first time visitor through the membership process. Nell values welcoming newcomers and connecting the needs of the church with the unique spiritual gifts of members. As a lifelong nature lover, Nell volunteers with her two sons August and Ocran at the Ohio Wildlife Center. 

Kristi McCandless

Facilities and Events Coordinator

Kristi was born and raised in Butler, Pennsylvania and moved to the Columbus area in 1998 with her husband, Scott. They have been at NPC since 2004. Kristi began working as the Facilities and Events Coordinator at NPC in 2017. She enjoys cooking for family and friends, reading and listening to podcasts, volunteering with our ELL ministry, and doing anything crafty, especially with 4th and 5th graders during the Best Week of Summer… VBS! Kristi and Scott have two grown children: Cole and Kiley.
